Boserup Forest
The steep slope at Skevig.
The woodland known as Boserup Skov lies on the south coast of Kattinge Vig. There is a lovely view from its steep slopes, out over the inlet towards Ringøen and Bognæs Forest.
The waves eat their way further and further into Boserup forest.
On the other side of the woods are Kattinge Lake and the golf course. Nestling in woodland on the west side is a beautiful yellow building belonging to Boserup Sanatorium, which is currently used as a free school. Even further to the west is Kattinge Works, which is used as a kindergarten and for school trips. There is easy access to the woods, with bus- and car parks. This means that Boserup, unlike Bognæs, is used intensively for many different leisure activities. The two woods thus complement each other well – there is something for every taste. Boserup is particularly well known for its wonderful flora. All four Danish species of anemone are found here, as is the distinctive toothwort, and in spring you might find delicious morel mushrooms. At the bottom of Hørvig there is a primitive overnight shelter with a fireplace, and Skevig is good for swimming.
